What it costs

The fee is not
where they get you.

Most of what a remittance costs is hidden in the exchange rate, not the fee line. These figures use whatever you typed above, at today's mid-market rate.

How the rail works

Yes, there is
crypto in here.

We would rather tell you than have you find out. A stablecoin is the settlement layer between two banking systems that do not talk to each other. Nothing more interesting than that. You never touch it, never hold it, and never see a wallet.

01. In

Regulated collection

Your card or bank transfer is collected by our FCA-authorised partner in the UK and held in a segregated client account. Ordinary, boring, and the part that keeps regulators comfortable.

02. Across

Stablecoin settlement

We convert at mid-market into USDC and settle on Base. It costs a fraction of a cent and confirms in about two seconds, which is the entire reason this corridor is eleven seconds and not three days.

03. Out

Payout in shillings

Our Nairobi partner converts to KES and pushes to M-Pesa, Airtel Money or a bank account. The recipient sees a normal M-Pesa message. They never learn any of the above happened.

Proof, not promises

Everything here
is checkable.

After the last few years, nobody in this industry deserves the benefit of the doubt, including us. So every claim on this page links to something you can go and read, and the reserve figure updates hourly whether it flatters us or not.

Tuma is a fictional company built as a demonstration. Nothing on this page is an offer of a financial service, and every figure (rates, fees, reserves, licences, uptime) is invented for the demo.
